2009..and other resolutions

I have been on "vacation" far to long from this blog. 2009 is here and it is time to start fresh. The holiday's were long and dark not unlike the weather here. I admit it is hard to be bubbly and enthusiastic when it is dark by 3:30 pm and the sun comes up after 8:45 am.... I am saying goodbye to 2008 I have to admit I went into hibernation for the holiday's because 2008 was a tough year and I couldn't wait for 2009. YEAH 2009 is here and it is time to be optimistic and look forward. I know we all make resolutions, they are the brunt of a million jokes. I truly try every year to pick one thing I could really change. This year I have set the goal of travel. We have landed here in Germany and the how's and why's don't matter anymore, our take was always at least we get to travel Europe. My resolution this year is to visit a new country every month. I can do that here because everything is so close :0 So this year I have a goal of seeing 12 new countries. Secretly I am hoping to hit 2 different continents too but we won't push our luck. January I would like to start in the S's I want to take a trip to Sweden ( one of my families homeland's) or Switzerland.  I have been plotting and scheming trips to go...... so wish me luck and hopefully I will have very exciting posts with cool pictures for your viewing and reading pleasure. I hope that this year will be filled with new adventures of the good kind, peace in our souls, ( a settling and accepting of of new lifestyle) Laughter...we all need a lot of that. Of course good health..... Good luck with resolutions I hope each one is fulfilled and may all of our blessings be more than our burdens. Hopefully the soul wrenching work is over with 2008 and the enjoyment of those labors comes in 2009
