The kids and I were fortunate enough to be able to stop in Wisconsin and Illinois to say goodbye to family and friends for our "farewell tour". Thank you to everyone who hosted us, and thank you to those of you who drove to see us. It is often hard to be so far away from those we love. I often miss the everyday chats the birthday's and special events. Know no matter where we roam we think of all of you near and far scattered through out the world.
I had a chance to visit my friend Sarah's new gallery . Sarah has a beautiful framing Gallery in the lovely Third Ward district of Milwaukee. Full of fun treasures and unique artwork it is a must see for my Wisconsin friends. Sarah has a website for her gallery. SB Gallery please check it out :) Sarah is also a quilter for my other quilting friends.
While visiting Dave and Liz we had an amazing time at the lake....another Wisconsin must ! this is the lake front in Racine and the park was beautiful. There is the Kid's cove a cute nautical themed park excellent for little kids with cabin craze ! Adjacent to the park is the wonderful beach right on Lake Michigan !!!! Chad the kids loved seeing the road to your old house.....and of course everytime we passed the chart room in Racine we waved !
An Old man was Walking along the beach one evening at low tide. He noticed that thousands of Starfish had been stranded on the sand by the receding waters. In the course of his walk he came upon a young man who was picking up some of the starfish and throwing them back into the sea. " What are you doing?" the old man asked. "Oh just saving some starfish." the young man replied "Well you're a fool." the old man told him " Really? replied the young man. " What makes you say so?" "well just look at all the starfish on this beach. There are thousands of them." The old man looked around and then at the young man. " You don't have the time nor the energy to save all of them. Your saving a few starfish is nice, but in the larger scheme of things it's ridiculous. What difference could you possibly make?" The young man looked at the old man for a moment. Then wordlessly, he bent down, picked up a starfish, and threw it far out into the water. "well," he said, putting his hands on his hips in satisfaction, "I made a big difference to that one." -Anonymous

Things to Think About
" People cease to believe because they cease to understand because they cease to do things that express the understanding. Yucatan work excludes nothing false and omits nothing true." ~ Thomas Moore
