We missed Legoland California , so why not here in Germany right.....
Sticking close to home and exploring while living in limbo we decided to head to Legoland. Legoland is about 1 hour from Stuttgart and an easy drive on the autobahn. It is spring break here so we had a good reason to go.
There was Mini land, where there were lego cities. The cities were modeled after various German cities.
Huge displays with water and working boats and trains.
Of course it was off to the land of the Pirates.....
There was no escaping that one or the water from the boat ride.
While on the boat you can fire water at other boats and they to you for a real pirate experience on the high seas..... My favorite though was the shark.
We all enjoyed the Lego displays ....this band was quiet but great to watch...
The fountain would play a tune when you jumped on a square around the fountain so the kids ran around the fountain playing the instruments.....
The Bionicle ride was one of H's favorites, it was a ride in the dark that fliped us all around and H thought this was just the coolest thing ever.
H also rode his first big roaller coaster in the front of the car too. Fearless.....
P & S loved the airplanes and we wne ton that ride at least 4 times.
There was a tower that took you slowly to the top
and then turned you slowly so you could have panoramic views of the park....
which is always fun. I liked that I could see where everything was and figure out where to head next.....
P liked the trains a lot and there were 3 in the park to ride.
This is the Biggest and goes around the perimeter of the park a great way to get an idea of where you might want to go.
Then the mini train is in the little kid's play area P & S really liked this train.
Here at Legoland even the trees become something amazing and full of legos..... too cute to have sheep trees !
It is impressive to see legos used on a large scale and in so many ways.
Finally it was off on Safari.... Yes, now Safari's aren't just for Sam anymore the kids and I took off in search of adventure .... probably one of the best rides. All three of the kids loved being able to "drive" their own cars
With 2 steering wheels per car everyone had a chance to drive. We saw Zebra's
Rhinocerous,
Giraffe's and even ostriches. No safari would be complete without the lions..... I would definately go on Safari......
I would say that Legoland Germany is geared more for the 5-10 age range there were only a few rides that P & S could go on but everything was perfect for H.
If you are looking for a fun and close activity it is great for your 5-10 year old.
So for now Albert and I will be off having fun...... at Legoland
