The shoes......I just can't part with

So I have had these shoes since the dawn of time..... Ok maybe not that long but close. I found these on a cold and windy day in a Montana department store on a clearance rack. It was love at first sight..... not only because I LOVE Nine West shoes but because it had these gorgeous swirls and beads and it helped me dream of the spring to come.

I have worn these every summer since and when I have lived in warmer climates more than 4 times a week year round. They are perfect beautiful and comfortable..... I have literally worn them out.

I always get compliments on them and they go with anything..... these shoes have walked miles and seen things that may never make the blog :)...... Shoes really are a girl's best friend. I know they are tired and worn I just can't part with them. Is this the point where we have an intervention and get me into shoe therapy? I just can't seem to throw them out or partwith them.... I can't even bring myself to have a shoe funeral for them. I hid them from the movers intending to wear them until I left the house in CA then throwing them out.... Then I ended up flying with them to Chicago...... they were comfy and easy to slide off at security... I was worried about all the other shoes I would have to take off in security. Then I figured I would toss them in Wisconsin...a seemingly good place to bury a good friend. I ended up wearing them to Germany after all they had gone so well through security once and they are cute and comfy...... Again lots of shoes to take off at security why not I said. These shoes had seen and experienced so much and one more grand adventure surely couldn't hurt could it? I am here in Germany they are still here and they were the first pair of shoes I put in my new closet..... There they are staring at me in the closet. what is a girl to do? they are falling apart and I just can't help it. The shoes maybe in my closet when I am 90 years old. Who knows they may become a story of their own. The shoes that lived a 100 years..... mmmmm another book idea? a new inspiration for other fun adventures? How can I part with such an inspiration......is it wierd to have a pair of security shoes...metaphorically and literally? Maybe they could become my flying shoes or travel shoes......Oh I am in deep.
